Two arrested after ‘dangerous’ Dundee quad bike incidents

Police in Dundee arrested two people following a series of dangerous quad bike incidents in the city yesterday.

The couple - a man and woman aged 21 and 34 - were charged in connection with various offences - including dangerous driving - in Kirkton and Camperdown Park.

Two other men, aged 34 and 17 were also apprehended and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.

The quad bike involved was also seized.

The group were targeted as part of Op Challenge that is tackling anti-social behaviour across Dundee.

A police spokesman said: “Around 2pm on Tuesday, 9 November, 2021, the quad bike was seized in Dunmure Street after it was seen being used in Camperdown Park and various streets within Kirkton Dundee, driving dangerously, and without care and consideration for other road users and pedestrians.

“A 21-year- old man and a 34-year-old woman were arrested at the scene and charged for various offences relating to this incident.

“Two men aged 34 and 17 will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for numerous road traffic offences.”
