Two arrested after £130,000 drug haul seized in North Glasgow home raid

Drugs worth a six-figure sum have been seized following a police raid in Cadder.

The recovery took place from an address in Tresta Road around 1pm yesterday.

A quantity of Etizolam tablets worth an estimated £130,000 were recovered.

A 33-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences and are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

Detective Chief Inspector, John Morrison, of Greater Glasgow Division, said: “This was a significant recovery and I want to reassure the people of Glasgow that we continue to use every tool at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from the community.

“Our work often relies on the support of the public, so anyone with any information or concerns about drug misuse, are asked to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
