Two air ambulances respond after 'serious' crash leaves car on its roof

Two air ambulances have responded after a crash in Cheshire left a car on its roof.

There was a heavy emergency services presence on Davey Lane in Alderley Edge this afternoon following the incident.

It is not clear how many people have been hurt or the seriousness of injuries.

Pictures from the scene appeared to show a white vehicle overturned and a damaged wall.

Crash investigators have been carrying out inquiries at the scene.

Cheshire Police have been contacted for comment.

Councillor Craig Browne was in the area and said it appeared to be a serious incident.

"It appears to be a serious road traffic collision," he said.

"There's a vehicle on its roof and there's two air ambulances.

"I spoke to police at the scene but they weren't able to tell me any more.

"Davey Lane is completely closed.

"People should try to avoid the area unless they live here."
