Two Afghan students stabbed & robbed in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Four bike-borne miscreants allegedly stabbed two Afghan students while stealing their mobile phones in the early hours of Friday.

Quran Ali, 27, and Mohammed Shahid, 24, both from Kabul, are pursuing second-year BBA at Bangalore University (BU) and live in a rented accommodation at Jnanajyothinagar, Jnanabharathi, police said. They were walking back to their rooms from a friend’s place when the miscreants accosted them.

“Around 2am, the four miscreants blocked the Afghan students and asked them to hand over their mobile phones. When the duo protested, the suspects attacked them with a knife, injuring Ali on the neck and Shahid on his right hand. They snatched the students’ mobile phones and sped away,” a police source said. tnn
