Two Adelaide school stabbings in two days

There have been two student stabbings at Adelaide schools in as many days involving scissors. (AAP)

A teenager has lacerations to her abdomen, leg and throat after being attacked with scissors and a box cutter at an Adelaide school.

The 18-year-old has been admitted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious condition.

A 16-year-old boy, known to the victim, has been arrested and is being interviewed by detectives, police said in a statement on Wednesday.

The attack at the suburban Windsor Gardens school followed another on Tuesday, when a student was stabbed with a pair of scissors at a school in Adelaide's CBD.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at the school.

A 13-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated assault, common assault and carrying an offensive weapon.
