Two 16-year-olds charged in connection with death of Neath Abbey pub landlord Mark Winchcombe

Two teenage boys have been charged in connection with the death of a pub landlord.

Mark Winchcombe died from his injuries after an alleged assault at around 12.55am on September 1, 2019, in Main Road, Neath Abbey, Skewen .

A 16-year-old has been charged with manslaughter and affray and another 16-year-old has been charged with affray.

They have been released on police bail until they appear at Swansea Youth Court on September 19.

Two 16-year-olds and two 14-year-olds also arrested in connection with the incident have been released on police bail.

Mr Winchcombe, 58, ran the Smiths Arms pub with his wife Christine, 55, and was said to be a popular landlord with locals.
