Twitterati CANCELS Ranbir Kapoor over past 'hurtful' remarks against Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma

Ranbir Kapoor's past statements are coming back to haunt him.

Just as the actor is gearing up for the release of his big-budget film 'Brahmastra', old videos of the actor's hurtful comments against ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif have reemerged online. Many have taken to the micro-blogging app to call out the actor for his comments and behaviour.

Social media users have gone about bringing back old videos of the actor being disrespectful against his female co-stars, including Katrina, Anushka Sharma, Ileana D'Cruz and even wife Alia Bhatt. These videos feature Ranbir cracking a number of insensitive jokes on his co-stars during interviews. Whether it was claiming Katrina 'can't act' or calling Anushka 'anxiety queen', Ranbir has been facing the wrath of angry fans on social media.

Besides seemingly cancelling the actor, many have been jumping on board the #RanbirKapoor hate train and dissing his films and acting skills. The viral posts garnered in reactions from other social media users who said, "Absolutely loving every second of ranbir kapoor hate party going on twitter."

Another said, "twitter cancelling ranbir kapoor the world is finally healing."

This comes just days after social media users slammed the actor for body-shaming his pregnant wife during a virtual LIVE session to promote their upcoming movie directed by Ayan Mukerji.

During the interaction, the actors were asked why they have not been promoting the film nation-wide. To this, Alia said, "Hum log karenge (we will do it), but the focus right now is… the question asked also is why we are not phalaoed (spread) everywhere…"

Ranbir interrupted Alia mid-sentence, looked at her baby bump and said, "I can see someone else has phalaoed."

Alia looked at her husband with shock and disbelief and going by the Tweets that followed, she was not the only one. Netizens perceived the remark as 'insensitive and problematic' with some even saying he was 'fat-shaming' his pregnant wife.
