Twitter was not impressed at all with Marvin Lewis’ AAF broadcasting debut

The inaugural weekend for The Alliance of American Football started with a bang on Saturday as a QB had his helmet come flying off courtesy of a pretty violent hit.

And it ended with a whimper on Sunday night, with soft sounds of Marvin Lewis’ voice driving viewers crazy during the Salt Lake-Arizona game that closed out the weekend.

Listen, calling a football game on live TV isn’t easy if you’ve never done it before. For every Tony Romo, who killed it from the get-go, there’s a Jason Witten, who had his struggles in his first season with ESPN.

Lewis, who was fired by the Bengals last month, thus far falls in the Witten side of things and not because he made any embarrassing mistakes but rather because of the energy level he brought to the broadcast, which was aired on NFL Network.

He was not very energetic at all, and Twitter noticed:
