Twitter tries to interpret Emmanuel Sanders’ postgame remarks

Going into Thursday’s game against the Chiefs, Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders had caught just two passes in the team’s two previous contests. Sanders had a decent game against Kansas City — five catches for 60 yards — but Denver’s offense overall was awful.

After the Broncos lost 30-6, Sanders was asked about what went wrong for Denver’s offense.

“You know the answer,” Sanders said, according to DNVR’s Ryan Koenigsberg. “You watched the same game.”

That cryptic response drew dozens of reactions and plenty of speculation on Twitter. Many fans assumed he was referring to Joe Flacco, the team’s quarterback.

Flacco wasn’t the only problem, though.

Denver’s offensive line was terrible, allowing nine sacks in the loss.

Fans of the Patriots, Saints and Packers chimed in, presumably hoping that their team will swoop in and make a trade offer for Sanders.

Sanders, 32, has caught 30 passes for 367 yards and two touchdowns through seven games. After earning $10.25 million this season, Sanders is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in 2020.
