Twitter reacts to Titans’ Week 14 shutout win over Jaguars

The Tennessee Titans continued their dominance over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 14 by notching a 20-0 win at Nissan Stadium on Sunday. The Titans have now won nine of their last 10 meetings against their division rival, and Jacksonville’s winless streak in Nashville since 2013 remains intact.

The shutout victory was Tennessee’s first since the 2018 season, and the first to occur in Nashville since all the way back in 2000.

The Titans’ offense, which managed to score on its opening drive for the first time since Week 7, wasn’t great by any means on Sunday, but the 20 points it mustered up was more than enough on a day in which the defense shined.

Tennessee’s unit allowed less than 200 yards of total offense, including giving up just eight yards on the ground. The Titans picked off Trevor Lawrence four times and notched three sacks en route to preventing Jacksonville from reaching the red zone the entire game.

With the win, the Titans improved to 9-4 and increased their lead in the AFC South to two games over the idle Indianapolis Colts. And, because the Titans own the tie-breaker over the Colts as well, a Tennessee win combined with an Indy loss in Week 15 seals the deal in the division.

Tennessee also remains the No. 2 seed going into Week 15, sharing the same record with the No. 1-seeded New England Patriots, who were on a bye.

Now, a look at how Twitter reacted to the Titans’ shutout win over the Jags.
