The Tennessee Titans selected Mississippi State defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons with the No. 19 overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
The move was largely well-received, while many were displeased with ESPN’s decision to show a video of an altercation Simmons was involved in the past.
Fans, players and analysts quickly took to Twitter with their reactions.
Titans players like linebacker Sharif Finch, safety Kevin Byard and defensive end Jurrell Casey wasted no time giving Simmons a warm welcome.
It will be interesting to see just how much of an impact Simmons can make for the Titans as he takes an NFL field for the first time in 2019.
