Twitter reacts to the Eagles selecting LT Andre Dillard with No. 22 overall selection

The Philadelphia Eagles selected Washington State left tackle Andre Dillard in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, after swapping picks with the Baltimore Ravens.

Dillard isn’t a big named left tackle but was one of the highest graded players coming out of the combine, and now he’s the future at the position, as he’ll learn from Jason Peters before taking over. The Eagles ensure continuity by providing Carson Wentz more protection and social media, especially Twitter, reacted accordingly.

The Eagles traded up from 25 to 22 to select OT Andre Dillard out of Washington State. It's a surprise that he lasted this long. Dillard gives the Eagles a tackle of the future as the career of 37 year old LT Jason Peters winds down.
