Twitter reacts to the Cowboys’ stunning signing of Andy Dalton

The Cowboys made one of the surprise signings of the NFL offseason on Saturday when news broke they’d agreed to a deal with former Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton.

Dalton will make $3 million guaranteed, with $7 million in performance-based earnings on the table, per USA TODAY Sports’ Mike Jones.

The Cowboys already have Dak Prescott on the roster, and as soon as Dalton signed, Cowboys nation started whirring. Was this leverage over Dak in contract negotiations? Was this simply getting a good backup on the roster in case of an injury?
