Twitter reacts to selfie of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had a fierce on-field rivalry with former Colts and Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning from 2001-2015.

Brady edged out Manning with an 11-6 record against his rival during the regular season but Manning owned a 3-2 postseason record against Brady. Their on-field rivalry apparently didn’t carry over off the field.

“Spoiler alert… we were friends this whole time,” Brady captioned a selfie with Manning last month. “Always great to see you Peyton!”

The tweet drew more than 20,000 retweets and over 200,000 likes. Many of the replies called the QBs “GOATs,” counting them among the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

Some fans joked about who was the better QB.

Other fans joked (?) that they couldn’t believe the QBs are actually friends.

And there were plenty of funny replies.

Manning drew some flak for his orange and blue suit, the colors of the Broncos. Orange is also the color of Tennessee, where Manning played college football.

A two-time Super Bowl champion and five-time league MVP, Manning can wear whatever he wants.
