Twitter reacts to Seahawks acquisition of receiver Josh Gordon

The Seattle Seahawks sent their fans into a frenzy on Friday afternoon with the news that they had won a waiver claim on star wide receiver Josh Gordon.

While Gordon won’t suit up on Sunday against the Buccaneers, he will be in the mix to play for Seattle as soon as next Monday when they take on the 8-0 San Francisco 49ers.

Gordon’s signing elicited quite the reaction from Seahawks players, fans, media members and even other celebrities on Twitter.

Perhaps no one was as excited about the signing than Gordon himself.

Although the 28-year-old wideout had no say in what team claimed him, it was known he prioritized playing with an elite quarterback and he gets exactly that in Seattle with Russell WIlson.

Additionally, the Seahawks have a handful of Gordon’s former teammates in tow, including defensive back Jamar Taylor, linebacker Mychal Kendricks and tight end Jacob Hollister.

The Seahawks will have a roster crunch to deal with at wide receiver, but if they get a healthy Gordon for the rest of the season they should have no problem competing for a division title.
