Robert Whittaker rebounded from losing his middleweight title on Saturday when he beat Darren Till in the UFC on ESPN 14 main event.
After dropping the 185-pound belt to Israel Adesanya in October, Whittaker (21-5 MMA, 12-3 UFC) got back on track with a unanimous decision win over Till (18-3-1 MMA, 6-3-1 UFC) in the headlining bout, which took place at Flash Forum at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi and aired on ESPN.

Whittaker has mostly done a good job fighting at a middle distance where it was hard for Till to get off, but in the early part of the fifth, Till has found a way to create the distance he needs.

Although I edged round 4 for Till for his heavy-handed flurry, I slightly edge Whittaker in round 5, as I weighed his body of work more than Till’s slicing elbow. My card reads 48-47 Whittaker but this could go either way given tonight’s judging.
