Twitter reacts to Nick Newell’s emotional submission win at Bellator 225

Nick Newell was triumphant in his anticipated Bellator debut on Saturday when he scored a submission win over Corey Browning at Bellator 225.

Newell (16-2 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) put on a dominant display against Browning (5-3 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) that ended with him locking up an arm-triangle choke for the tap in the opening round. It was a huge win for the one-handed fighter only made bigger by the fact it took place in front of a hometown crowd at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Conn.
