Twitter reacts to new champ Douglas Lima’s $1 million tournament win over Rory MacDonald at Bellator 232

Douglas Lima avenged a key loss in his career on Saturday when he claimed the Bellator welterweight title from Rory MacDonald in the Bellator 232 main event.

On top of taking the belt, Lima (32-7 MMA, 14-3 BMMA) came out the winner of the grand prix tournament when he earned a unanimous decision win over MacDonald (21-6-1 MMA, 3-2-1 BMMA) to take the $1 million prize in the headlining bout, which took place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., and streamed on DAZN.
