Twitter reacts to Michael Thomas contract extension

The New Orleans Saints made wide receiver Michael Thomas the highest-paid player at his position in the NFL on Wednesday, agreeing to terms on a five-year, $100 million contract extension with $61 million in guarantees. It’s a huge commitment to the 26-year old playmaker who already owns a number of records in team history, and who has taken the NFL by fire since being picked in the second round of the 2016 draft.

So of course this kind of thing gains notice. Thomas received congratulations from all corners, with everyone from his Alma mater (the Ohio State Buckeyes) to his Saints teammates, NFL rivals, and LeBron James wishing him well. Here’s the best reactions from around Twitter:
