Israel Adesanya successfully unified the middleweight title on Saturday when he defeated Robert Whittaker for undisputed UFC gold in the UFC 243 headliner.
Adesanya’s (18-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) undefeated career reached the pinnacle when he scored a second-round knockout victory to dethrone Whittaker (20-5 MMA, 11-3 UFC) in the 185-pound title bout, which headlined the pay-per-view card from Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
