The Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Kentucky Wildcats in what was quite a boring game. Both teams chewed the clock with run-dominant schemes. Kentucky seemed satisfied to take a 14-3 loss into the final minutes of the game. The Wildcats seldom ran any hurry-up offense despite trailing.
Kirby Smart and Georgia won behind a 100-yard game from Zamir White and a dominant defensive performance. Georgia’s defensive effort came at the price of several key injuries.
Quarterback Stetson Bennett and the Georgia passing game failed to pack a punch against a decent Kentucky secondary. Bennett was missing No. 1 wide receiver George Pickens, who has an upper body injury. Bennett turned the ball over twice in only 13 passing attempts. He additionally fumbled the ball on a run, but Georgia recovered it.
A performance like this will not be enough to beat the Florida Gators next week. Florida will not have much good film from the Georgia offense in the win over Kentucky as UGA ran a pretty vanilla scheme on offense.

I have a new least-favorite UGA SEC win in my lifetime.

Coach Smart said again that George Pickens and Kenny McIntosh are still just dinged up; had hoped they would be ready to go. Said he hopes they are next week.

Lost in the negativity surrounding this game is the fact that Zamir White ran for a career high w/ 134 yards.
Kid tore 2 ACLs before ever playing a college snap. Worked his tail off to make it this far. 🐶🐾

In 2012 UGA had one of the most un-inspiring games in Lexington you've ever seen. Got a close win.
The very next game UGA beat No. 2 Florida in Jax.

This is one of those games, where if it had rained, we’d be using the rain as an excuse.
It didn’t rain.

If this is the offense that Georgia is going run and be, than doesn’t Mathis fit better in it? 2 becomes a bigger threat with his legs. Opens up more run lanes and can throw screens.
