Twitter reacts to Falcons trading WR Mohamed Sanu to Patriots

The Falcons finally made a move after their 1-6 start, trading wide receiver Mohamed Sanu to the New England Patriots for a second-round pick on Tuesday morning.

Sanu was an asset that the team decided to part with since it doesn’t look to be heading to the playoffs this season. With only one year remaining on his deal, many were surprised Atlanta was able to get a second-rounder in return.

Most positive thing I can say about Sanu's tenure is he gave the #Falcons positive value as a chain mover in 2016 & 2017. But always felt the #Falcons were at their best when they had a dynamic WR2 opposite Julio like they did in 2016 & 2018 with Taylor Gabriel & Calvin Ridley

Steep price for the #Patriots to pay for Mohamed Sanu, but… 1) they've coveted him for a while, 2) he's very talented, durable, and generally reliable as a bigger complementary weapon, 3) Tom Brady's offense is littered with injuries – especially at wideout. Needed insurance.
