Twitter reacts to Earl Thomas signing with Ravens

The Earl Thomas saga has finally ended, as the veteran safety agreed to terms on a massive four-year, $55 million dollar deal with the Ravens that guarantees Thomas $32 million.

The move ends the future Hall of Fame safety’s tenure in Seattle, which began when he was a first round pick by the team back in 2010. He went on to make six Pro Bowl appearances, was named a three-time All-Pro and will be a no doubt Ring of Honor inductee when his career ends.

Reaction on twitter was swift after the Thomas signing was announced. That included congratulations from many of his teammates, as well as Seahawks fans.

Additionally, some brought up how his decision to sit out may have actually benefited him, while others brought up that Thomas will be back in Seattle soon, as the Ravens are set to play a regular season game at CenturyLink Field next season.

With Thomas gone, Seattle is expected to go with a combination of Delano Hill and Tedric Thompson at the free safety position, although the draft or free agency could bring in new blood before the 2019 season begins.
