Twitter reacts to Draymond Green’s big night

Draymond Green was so good at basketball last night that he got Magic Johnson to use an emoji on Twitter.

Imagine Tom Izzo’s reaction to that sentence.

Green tallied a triple double with 20 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists as the Golden State Warriors put a 3-0 stranglehold on their Western Conference Finals series with the Portland Trailblazers. In doing so, Draymond became the fifth player in NBA history to get a triple-double in three straight series in a single postseason according to Elias Sports.

Despite the impressive counting stats on offense, Green’s biggest impact was felt on the other side of the floor as his suffocating defense helped the Warriors hold Portland to just 39 points in the decisive second half. Oh and he also had four steals and a block to boot. Add in the leadership and energy (Green was mic’d up during the game and shown giving encouragement to Jordan Bell after Bell missed an embarrassing dunk).

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said it might be the best game Draymond has ever played. A whole lot of other people said a bunch of other things on the internet, and shockingly (especially for the internet’s standards), they were quite nice! So let’s see how Twitter reacted to Green’s huge performance.

And of course Magic chimed in.
