Former bantamweight champ Cody Garbrandt finally got back in the win column on Saturday when he defeated Raphael Assuncao in the UFC 250 co-main event.
Garbrandt (12-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) snapped a three-fight losing skid and got his hand raised for the first time since December 2016 when he beat Assuncao (27-8 MMA, 11-5 UFC) by second-round knockout in the event co-headliner, which took place at UFC Apex in Las Vegas and aired on pay-per-view.

Hard to imagine anyone at this level, much less Garbrandt, losing four in a row at this level. That said, I think that Assuncao is a bad matchup on paper, as I see his counter right hand and leg kicks having some real play. Let’s see if Garbrandt’s speed kills or Assuncao upsets.
