Charles Oliveira is the new lightweight champion after beating Michael Chandler on Saturday in the UFC 262 headliner.
After Khabib Nurmagomedov vacated the belt earlier this year, Oliveira (31-8 MMA, 19-8 UFC) picked up the vacant strap with a second-round TKO victory over Chandler (22-6 MMA, 1-1 UFC) in the pay-per-view main event at the Toyota Center in Houston.
Oliveira got his hands on gold in his 27th octagon appearance, making him the new record-holder for most UFC bouts before winning a championship for the first time.
