With the No. 60 overall selection in the 2019 NFL draft, the Chargers selected former Delaware free safety Nasir Adderley.
Adderley had been commonly mocked to Los Angeles as early as the first round throughout the pre-draft circuit. Media pundits were also well aware that the team lacked a player that could man the single-high role after Jahleel Addae was released earlier this off season.
Known for his range, ball and playmaking skills, Adderley fills the gaping hole and supplies a lethal duo with strong safety Derwin James in the secondary.
