Twitter reacts to Chargers losing DT Darius Philon in free agency

The Chargers have been active with building their roster through free agency.

While they’ve managed to bring in and bring back a handful of players to this point, Los Angeles lost one of their key pieces from the past couple seasons in defensive tackle Darius Philon. Philon was signed by the Cardinals on a two-year deal worth $10 million on Monday.

Philon, 25, started to emerge on a relatively week defensive line this past season after seeing an expanded role. He amassed 8.5 sacks in 2017 and 2018 combined.

Surprised and frustrated that Los Angeles didn’t put in more effort to re-sign the rising defensive tackles, fans went to Twitter to let their appreciation for his contributions and opinions known.
