After staying quiet on Monday, the Chargers made their first move the following day. Los Angeles plans to sign linebacker Thomas Davis when the new league year begins Wednesday.
Davis is a well-known player as he’s been in the league for 14 years now and has provided a great player and leadership throughout the course of his career with the Panthers.
Davis bounced back from a stretch that saw him play just nine games from 2009 to 2011 due to ACL injuries to recently reestablishing himself as a key player on the Carolina defense with Luke Kuechly.
He has missed just seven games since the start of the 2012 season, showing that he has some juice left in the tank despite his age (36).
