Twitter reacts to Bears OT Teven Jenkins undergoing back surgery

Bears head coach Matt Nagy announced second-round rookie tackle Teven Jenkins will undergo back surgery on Wednesday with the goal being “to get him back this season.”

This after Jenkins had been held out of 15 straight training camp practices and Chicago going out and signing veteran left tackle Jason Peters to a one-year deal to help bring some depth to an offensive line with plenty of questions at tackle.

Naturally, Twitter had plenty to say about Jenkins undergoing surgery. A lot of the comments were directed at general manager Ryan Pace and the Bears, who were aware of Jenkins’ back issues at Oklahoma State.

For some, it had shades of Chris Williams and Kevin White. But the general consensus was that it’s just not a good look for the Bears.
