Twitter reacts to Bears naming Andy Dalton starting QB…and it’s not pretty

When Andy Dalton made the decision to sign with the Chicago Bears, one of the reasons why was that he was assured that he would be the team’s starting quarterback in 2021.

It wasn’t a decision that sat well with fans, especially given the Bears tried to trade for Russell Wilson before the Seattle Seahawks shut the door…for now. Which made the way for Dalton to Chicago.

But, at least we won’t have to endure another quarterback competition during training camp.

Just a few days after Dalton explained that he was brought in to be the starter, the Bears made it official on Twitter with a photoshopped picture of Dalton in a Bears uniform with the caption “QB1.”

As you can imagine, Twitter had plenty to say about Chicago naming Dalton the starting quarterback in March. And, while it was entertaining, it surely wasn’t the reaction that the Bears’ social media team had imagined.
