Twitter reacts to Bears GM Ryan Pace and HC Matt Nagy’s press conference

For the second time in two months, Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Pace and head coach Matt Nagy met with the media to answer questions about the team’s offseason moves and plans. And for the second time in two months, fans had plenty of reactions to what the two had to say, despite the fact the press conference wasn’t available to the public.

Pace began the session talking about why things didn’t work with former quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, while expressing confidence in their new quarterback Andy Dalton, who Pace confirmed will be the starter. He also discussed the decisions to release cornerback Kyle Fuller and placing the franchise tag on wide receiver Allen Robinson.

When Nagy stepped in, he said more of the same, but did drop a major bombshell when he confirmed he plans to take back the playcalling duties that he relinquished to offensive coordinator Bill Lazor last season.

All in all, it was yet another chance for the Bears to instill confidence in their fanbase and they failed yet again. But at least the fans had a chance to vent their frustrations as quotes came out from the team beat writers.
