Twitter reacts to Arik Gilbert committing to LSU over Georgia, Alabama

Five-star 2020 tight end Arik Gilbert out of Marietta High School surprised a lot of people when he chose LSU over Georgia and Alabama on Wednesday evening.

Gilbert was originally thought to be a Georgia lean, though Alabama gained a lot of steam during the summer. However, it turns out no team made up as much ground as LSU, which was eventually able to secure a commitment from the nation’s No. 10 player and No. 1 tight end.

Gilbert chose the Tigers over Georgia, Alabama, Clemson and Texas A&M, who were put into his Top 5 on Tuesday.
