It’s hard for any defensive player to make an impact every single week in the NFL, no matter how talented he may be. That said, more often than not rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon is making a profound difference for the Seattle Seahawks and their defense.

In Sunday’s three-point home win over the Washington Commanders, Witherspoon was once again the game’s flashiest defensive player and made an outsized impact on the outcome. Spoon posted five tackles, three of the smoothest, easiest-looking pass breakups you’ll ever see and forced a fumble in a clutch moment by stripping the ball from a scrambling Sam Howell.
