Twitter reacts to ambulance called on field for Bills RB Damien Harris

No NFL fan wants to see their team lose. What every NFL fan would like to see less are injuries. Oftentimes the collisions and results are a gritty reminder of, not only the brutality of the sport, but the fragility of good health and life itself.

A national audience was reminded of this reality Sunday night in Week 6 between the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants. On a third-and-1 from the Bills’ 34-yard line, Harris gained the yard, but collided with Giants linebacker Bobby Okereke hard enough to drop him backwards. The running back needed to be placed on a stretcher and an ambulance came onto the field.

Instead of staying sucked into the battle lines of the game, football fans took to Twitter to express their support and wishes of a speedy recovery for Harris.
