Alexandre Pantoja’s long journey to gold came to a conclusion on Saturday when he captured the flyweight belt from Brandon Moreno in the UFC 290 main event.
Pantoja (25-6 MMA, 10-3 UFC) made it 3-0 in head-to-head competition with Moreno (21-7-2 MMA, 9-3-2 UFC) when he secured a split decision over his rival in the pay-per-view co-headliner at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
