The No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs knocked off the No. 3 Clemson Tigers in a 10-3 season-opening win. Georgia’s defense sacked D.J. Uiagalelei seven times and dominated Clemson’s rushing attack.
Kirby Smart got a huge win to begin the season. Georgia’s defense looked elite and held Clemson to just 180 yards of total offense. Georgia junior defensive back Christopher Smith had second quarter pick-six, which changed the course of the game.
J.T. Daniels threw for only 135 yards, but was efficient and only had one turnover. Georgia’s defense picked up the slack and looked dominant. Georgia fans and players should be happy with the huge win. The Dawgs have work to do, especially offensively, but should celebrate their impressive win.
Georgia plays next week against UAB in Athens.

That was a coaching exhibition by the UGA staff. We tend to exaggerate week 1 games but that was a defensive coaching clinic with 5 star execution. UGA is ready for the moment.
