Cabra native, Sheamus has taken the time to remember his hometown as he is crowned WWE United States Champion.
Stephen Farrelly, also known as wrestling superstar, Sheamus, is now one of Cabra's most famous locals and after his most recent victory, he was sure to remind everyone of his home roots.
The Dubliner posted about his most recent success online as he defeated wrestler, Riddle at Wrestlemania over the weekend.
Sheamus took to Twitter to post about his victory, along with the caption: “A ginger fella from Cabra, North Dublin is WWE United States Champion.
“Enjoy yourself. It’s a celebration.”
Users weren’t long responding to the WWE legend, one user replied: “Bring the belt to Cumiskey's on Christmas Eve if it’s reopened and put it on the line against another ginger from Cabra.”
Another said: “I just drove through cabra an hour ago, I expect the next time I do so I'll see a statue of a big ginger irish fella standing proud. Congrats fella!”
Someone else tweeted: “Watched Wrestlemania at home in Cabra, breakfast rolls from Clarke’s in your honour.”
A fan said: “An Irish is reigning over the US...a very proud moment for the Irish people and your fans too…”
And another fan replied: “Bring it up the Boggies we celebrate with a few cans.”
This is Sheamus’ third time to win the United States Championship, and we’re hoping he can bring the belt back home to Dublin 7 when it's possible.
