Michigan State’s last loss to Arizona State was frustrating, disappointing, weird, sad, and frustrating. Did I say frustrating twice? Oh well. It was doubly frustrating. It ended in one of the weirdest ways I’ve ever seen, with Matt Coghlin’s game-tying field goal being called back because MSU had twelve men on the field. He then missed the next attempt. Oh, and there was also a missed call on Arizona State that should’ve led to another kick attempt. Twitter was there to chime in on the painful loss.
Offensive lineman Tyler Higby also chirped at a Michigan State fan blog, The Only Colors, who was complaining about the team’s performance. The tweet was since deleted, but that’s why we have screenshots:
