Twitter loves the idea of the Patriots signing Antonio Brown

The New England Patriots are not likely to sign receiver Antonio Brown, who the Raiders released on Saturday morning after an insanely dramatic sequence of events in Oakland. Let’s just real. Coach Bill Belichick loves a reclamation project. But that’s not what Brown is — he’s an unmitigable disaster. The Patriots, who have plenty of receivers (including troubled wideout Josh Gordon, who will need their support in 2019), might be good for Brown, but he’s not good for them. That’s why he won’t land there.

Still, Belichick’s history of doing the unexpected has created a conversation: What if? The Patriots could buy low on Brown, help him focus on football and turn around his career. Stranger things have happened in Brown’s saga. Here’s what Twitter had to say.
