The Chargers caught a huge break in today’s victory over the Bears.
Down 17-16 in the fourth-quarter after going three-and-out, Los Angeles gave Chicago the ball with well over a minute to score.
After a couple defensive blunders, quarterback Mitchell Trubisky got down to the Chargers’ 32-yard line. Rather than gaining a few extra yards for kicker Eddy Piniero to have some breathing room, the decision quickly backfired.
From 41 yards out, Piniero missed the game-winning field goal. His botched kick set social media on fire.
