The New England Patriots bolstered their offense and special teams unit on Tuesday by acquiring Mohamed Sanu in a trade with the Falcons and signing Justin Bethel.
New England’s defense has been historically good, but their offense has been stagnant at times. Josh Gordon has been hurt and N’Keal Harry’s been on the injured reserve list, so Julian Edelman has been carrying the load at wide receiver. The addition of Sanu gives Tom Brady a 6-foot-2 receiver that’s reliable and capable of making impact plays.
New England’s special teams unit has been incredible, but the addition of Bethel will make them nearly unstoppable. Bethel has been named a Pro Bowler three times in his career and he’s earned two first-team All-Pro honors. Matthew Slater and Bethel will become a nightmare for opposing teams.
