Twitter down: Website crashes with ‘something went wrong’ error message

It appeared to be a problem more with the website, rather than the app, according to users

Twitter users across the globe have reported the website has crashed.

People begun experiencing problems at around 4pm GMT, according to DownDetector.

They were hit with a “something went wrong” error message, telling them to reload the browser.

The users reported they were unable to load tweets or view profiles.

It appeared to be a problem more with the website, rather than the app, according to users.

More than 5,670 people have flagged issues with Twitter on DownDetector.

Also, people took to social media with the #TwitterDown to share their problems.

Among the sea of comments on social media, people wrote: “Eurgh the Something went wrong. Try reloading.Retry message again-didn't we just have this on twitter the other day?! #twitterdown?”

“#TwitterDown Message Something went wrong. Try reloading.”

“#twitterdown again? Can't open any tweets from the list, and there are none in the profiles. "Something went wrong".”
