Twitter is reportedly down this afternoon, with many users reporting that they can't access their feeds. The issue seems to be affecting both desktop and mobile users.
According to the Down Detector website, which tracks issues with social media platforms such as Twitter, the issues began at around 12.40pm. Within minutes it had received hundreds of reports from users.
People who use both the website and the app were reporting problems. It appears that the issue is intermittent for some people.
It is not yet known what has caused the problem or when it will be fixed. According to The Verge, users have been getting “over capacity” and “this page is down” error messages.
