Twitter is back up after crashing around the world, leaving scores of users frustrated.
Downdetector received more than 12,000 reports of issues accessing the social media platform in the UK alone this evening.
Almost half of those were to do with problems encountered on the mobile app.
As of around 5.20pm on Friday, reports started to spike.
Some people were logged out of the site and unable to return while others had issues with their timeline.

They were met with the message: "Something went wrong, but don't fret - it's not your fault. Let's try again."
However, at just before 6.15pm, the platform's support team announced it had fixed a "technical bug".
The statement from Twitter Support said: "We’ve fixed a technical bug that was preventing timelines from loading and Tweets from posting. Things should be back to normal now.

"Sorry for the interruption!"
The site then slowly returned to normal.
It comes days after Tesco's website and app went down leaving customers unable to log in to make or change food orders.
According to Downdetector, almost 2,000 shoppers reported problems on Wednesday.
When customers tried to log in on the website, they received an error message which said: "It's not you, it's us.
"There's a problem at our end, but we're trying to fix it right now. Sorry for any inconvenience. Please come back later and try again.
"Thanks for your patience."
On the app, they got the shorter message: "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later."
Frustrated shoppers then began tweeting the supermarket asking what is going on, to be told there is currently no timescale for the issue being resolved.
It was fixed later that evening.
