Twitter down as thousands of users experience issues accessing their feeds

Twitter is down for a large number of users leaving them unable to load posts.

Those struggling to access the site are left with a circular refresh button and unable to see their feeds.

Some were greeted with the message "tweets aren't loading right now".

There have been more than 3,000 reports of issues on DownDetector, which tracks issues with websites, at time of writing.

Twitter is used by millions across the globe, with an estimated 145 million daily users on the site.

The Standard has contacted Twitter for further details.
