Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey trolls Facebook over new all-caps logo

Earlier this week, Facebook hit the headlines after it unveiled its brand new multi-coloured and all-capital ‘FACEBOOK’ logo.

Facebook claims that the change is ‘a way to better communicate our ownership structure’, but it has been widely mocked by confused users.

Now, Jack Dorsey, CEO at Twitter has trolled his rival about its logo.

He tweeted: “Twitter, from TWITTER,” in reference to Facebook’s capitalisation in its new branding.

This isn’t the first time that Dorsey has poked fun at Facebook - and particularly its CEO, Mark Zuckerberg - in recent months.

Last month, Dorsey was asked whether he’d join Facebook’s Libra cryptocurrency association, and responded: “Hell no. Nothing within Libra had to be a cryptocurrency to do what they wanted to do.”

And after Dorsey announced that Twitter would ban all political ads on its site, Dorsey posted a thinly-veiled tweet about Zuckerberg’s position on the matter.

He tweeted: “It‘s not credible for us to say: “We’re working hard to stop people from gaming our systems to spread misleading info, buuut if someone pays us to target and force people to see their political ad…well...they can say whatever they want!”

Facebook’s new branding changes Facebook to FACEBOOK, and sees the distinctive blue design to a new multicolour alternative.

This new branding will appear not only on the Facebook app, but also across several other Facebook-owned services, including WhatsApp, Instagram , Messenger and Oculus.
