The Twitter and Vine accounts belonging to Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter, have been hacked.
Dorsey was hacked by OurMine security - a “three-man security team” which previously targeted the social media accounts of Google boss Sundar Pichai and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Now the group has aimed straight at Twitter’s core, releasing several Vine videos via Dorsey’s account which were also posted on his Twitter feed. The tweet read: “Hey, its OurMine,we are testing your security” and linked to their website. It has since been deleted.
Vine is owned by Twitter, with many users logging into their accounts via Twitter.
A number of high-profile individuals have had their Twitter accounts hacked in recent months. Katy Perry, the most followed person on Twitter, had her account hacked by a tweeter who sent homophobic and racist tweets at the end of May.
Lady Gaga, Kylie Jenner, Tenacious D and Keith Richards are some of the other celebrities who have recently had their Twitter accounts targeted.
Twitter did not immediately respond to request for comment.
