Police are investigating after a number of people on a street in Dundee received a chilling letter claiming they were under 24 hour surveillance by a sordid blackmailer.
The malicious mail was sent to homes on Charleston Drive at the end of the January leaving the victims feeling ‘intimidated’.
The rambling writer claims to have “hundreds of hours” of CCTV footage from inside properties on the street - including films of residents in their bedrooms.

The Evening Telegraph shared an excerpt from the chilling typed note which has sparked an investigation by Police Scotland.
A section of the letter reads: “Each and every time you open a door or a blind I will be openly and legally recording it.
“Every time your house is left empty or you are alone I will know and with my criminal connections this might show you how crazy you all were to take me on, no more privacy is the price you will now pay for your personal attacks on me.
“If you dare complain regarding your months of private and personal upstairs filmed intimate performances, I will deny it and I will have no hesitation in putting all content on line."
The local newspaper reported that at least five houses on the street had received the same note before reporting it to officers.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are continuing with enquiries into the matter."
