'Twinkly' Chase player sends pulses racing among fans

A Chase player sent fans of the ITV show into a spin tonight as he appeared on screen.

Car insurance salesman Tom chatted to host Bradley Walsh before going up against The Sinnerman, Paul Sinha, who was tonight's Chaser.

Tom, 21, from Swansea told Bradley he was a big Swansea City fan and in his spare time enjoyed playing 11-a-side and 5-a-side football as well.

Away from football Tom said he had a passion for music and loved going to gigs.

If he won some cash Tom said he wanted to put it towards a house deposit as he was currently living with his mum and it was "about time I got out of there."

In his cash builder Tom scored a respectable £4,000 and decided to play for that amount in the head to head against Paul, after consulting with his team.

But many viewers were left distracted by Tom's appearance, with many viewers taking to social media to compliment him.

Bev Sykes Bolton said: "Twinkly eyed Tom."

Padraig Pearse said: "Tom is a bit of alright isn't he."

Kyle S said: "OOH HELLO TOM."

Jack Batchelor said: "Oh Hello Tom."

Tom managed to take the £4,000 he'd earned back to his team, with Bradley calling him "the toast of Wales" as he made his way back to his fellow contestants.

*The Chase continues at 5pm on ITV tomorrow
